Scope:	Public Notice Books consist of newspaper clippings of notices published by the City Clerk's Office in primarily Oklahoma City newspapers from 1909-2015. The bulk of the documents consist of public notices; amended notices; application for appropriation; appraiser reports and oaths; balance sheet-debt service fund notices; election proclamations; environmental findings; invitation of bids; legal notices to the public; notice of forfeiture of contraband; notice of acceptance; notice of appeal; notice of application; notice of application procedures; notice of appropriations of surplus revenue; notice of hearing; notice of intent; notice of introduction; notice of meeting; notice of personal property sale; notice of public auction; notice of publication; notice of redistricting-rezoning; notices regarding budget; notice of sale of bonds and bond holders; notice to architects, engineers, and planners; notice to architects, planners, design and graphics consultants; notice to bidders; notice to contractors; notice to proposers; ordinances; proclamations; resolutions including budget resolutions; request for letters of interest and statement of qualification; request for proposals; request quotations; retractions; revenue sharing reports; statement of financial position; use report of federal funds. Some notices, primarily notices of hearing, contain maps. Item level information regarding the types of notices contained in each book is not provided in this digital record with the exception of notice books containing resolutions, proclamations, and ordinances. Records are arranged chronologically. Date spans for each book reflect the earliest and latest date of publication.
History:	The Public Notice Books are maintained by the Office of City Clerk in order to show that the residents of The City of Oklahoma City and the general public have been notified of an action or decision made by the governing body.
