The Storm Shelter Registry is a service for Oklahoma City residents to provide information
about their storm shelters to help first responders in case of an emergency.
Registering your storm shelter is a simple process. Just tell us your Oklahoma City address,
the type of shelter you have, where it is located and whether it is a residential or commercial
shelter.
You may also provide the name and phone number of an emergency contact person. This additional
contact information is optional and not required to register your shelter.
You can also check to see whether your storm shelter is already registered.
All information you provide will be used by first responders --- police, fire, and emergency
medical service -- to help with emergency response, in the event your home or neighborhood
are affected by a tornado or other disaster.
Only storm shelters located in the city limits of Oklahoma City can be registered.
If your storm shelter is located in the Oklahoma City limits and you are unable to
add it to the registry, or if you need to update information about your registered
storm shelter, contact the Action Center at (405) 297-2535 Monday through Friday
between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for assistance.
